Press Releases / Proud to Serve And Support The Asian American Community

Graton Resort & Casino is proud to be a leader in supporting the Asian American community, and we are excited to celebrate Lunar New Year with everyone again this year.

Since the opening of Graton Resort & Casino in 2013, we have been celebrating traditional Asian festivals and supporting diversity. And we look forward to continuing to contribute to the Asian American community in the future.

We have participated in numerous events in support of the Asian American community in the past years, including the PCBA Scholarship Fundraising Gala, the SF Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival, charity golf tournaments and donations to the Chinese Hospital and many other Asian organizations. In addition, during festival seasons, we hosted in-house events to celebrate traditional Asian festivals with our visitors.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many small businesses, restaurants, and shops were greatly affected. Many Asian Americans’ livelihoods have taken a hit like never before. Graton Resort & Casino has donated over 2,000 boxes of exquisite mooncakes to Chinese organizations in previous Mid-Autumn Moon Festival seasons, hoping to share the joy with the communities.

To thank the frontline medical staffs and the essential workers for their dedication, Graton Resort & Casino donated the mooncakes to organizations such as Chinese Hospital, Jade Healthcare Medical Group (JHCMG), San Francisco Chinatown Merchant Association (SFCMA), Chinese American Association of Commerce (CAAC), and others. With the help from Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC) in distributing mooncakes, the residents of Chinatown’s SROs not only received the mooncakes but also felt the holiday warmth.

We are grateful for our previous contributions to the community and will continue to serve and support the Asian American community. We look forward to celebrating the Year of the Rabbit with you and wish you a happy, prosperous, and successful year ahead!
